Prisoner of War Talk after service on 3 February
After the church service on 3 February at 5.30pm we have the opportunity to learn about the life of a German prisoner of war (POW) in England, more specifically in Huyton-with-Roby. We were contacted after the Advent Fair by the daughter of a POW who recently passed away, who visited the fair together with Erich, now 93 years old. Erich was part of an winning BBC documentary about the camp and life as POW, which later became a stage version and was played out here in Liverpool and at various locations in Germany. The church service (in German) will start at 4pm. Coffee will be served between the service and the start of the talk.
